Take that, and that!

One thing I always appreciate while being the crazy movie/television buff that I am is a good solid comeback. I get so into these films and shows that I find myself yelling at the screen things like "Oh BURN!" or "No he did not just say that!" I love it, I think it's great entertainment, incredible writing and superb acting and is worth bringing up. You can agree to disagree but the point of the matter being that these moments in television are in fact some pretty good comebacks.

On the more humorous side, I believe a recently produced television show called Community has some overwhelming clever comebacks between the character dialogue. This series premiered on September 17th 2009 and was created by Dan Harmon who was nominated for 2 Emmy Awards and an Academy Award for his skill in writing. The show is about a group of students who attend a local Community College and the mishaps that happen between them. The show often mocks film and television cliches by using heavy meta-humor and pop culture references. The all-star cast includes Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs,  Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, and last but not least Chevy Chase. David Bushman of the Paley Center for Media said this series to be "the best new show of the fall season." Here are some interesting Community show clips and note-able comebacks...

Community Clip 1
*In this episode, Jeff Winger is up on his soap box for the ultimate comeback after the group is angry with each other and he is trying to win over Brita but fails despite his best efforts.

Community Clip 2
*In this episode, Jack Black makes a cameo and plays an overbearing character that the group wants to kick out.

Community Clip 3
*After a virus attacks the school turning everyone into zombies, the after math is quite hilarious, but in this clip we see the characters Abed and Troy discussing the more simple things in life.

Community Clip 4
*In this episode, Jeff is trying to woo a professor into have relations with him when he is interrupted by his fellow classmates.

A few clips to lighten up your days and bring out that sunny silver lining during these horrible Oswego weather conditions. Hope you enjoy! :0)

  1. YES! Another Community Fan! Truly the best show on TV Jess, or at least the best written one. If only we didn't have class until 8, that way I could drive home and watch it live, but thank god for Hulu!
