Indie Flick to Check

With Valentines' Day coming to a quick close I'm sure there are a few people out there who think the holiday is anything but such. Well after my constant internet surfing for new films to check out, I just so happened to stumble across a film called After Sex which is directed by Eric Amadio. Not a very well known director but he is indeed very talented within the profession. This film tackles the awkward conversations that occurr none other than the precious moments "after sex". Amadio goes after couples who have been dating for years and the obstacles that they go through as well as the quick one night stand when you experience an extremely intimate moment with someone you barely know. The screenwriting is outstanding with the quick and quirky and intimate comments each couple makes. More popular actors in the movie are Mila Kunis, Jane Seymour, Taryn Manning, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. There are 9 separate couples that we as the spectator or audience members encounter along our journey throughout this film and I believe there is at least one couple that anyone can relate to which makes the film that much more relatable and interesting. It's a fairly new film created in 2007 and without divulging too much information it's one to check out. I come across many films and this one had me jumping through the spectrum of emotions almost instantaneously so if you enjoy a little bit of drama, a lot of humor, and the awkwardness that can occur after sex, I highly suggest checking out this Independent film soon.

  2. This movie reminds me of the indie comedy Y.P.F. that was released the same year, maybe a good double viewing with Y.P.F. coming first and After Sex coming next. I guess I'm gonna have to check this one out.
